Essbase Docs Now Included!

This morning I needed to look at the Essbase docs and remembered that I didn't select an option to install the docs when I did the Essbase 11.1.1 install. In the System 9 (and earlier) days, the doc installer was a separate download and separate install. This created a number of questions on the forums as to where to find the docs.

I took a quick look in the directory structures for 11.1.1 and didn't initially see the docs anywhere. A quick search, however, revealed the docs for the server were installed automatically to C:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer\docs. This is certainly an improvement over previous versions.

Hi Tim,

I have configured Oracle11 for Workspace & Essbase. One thing is noticeable that folder architecture in 9.3x is better than 11. I got lots of _unist folder in Hyperion_Home/ products. Do you have any idea about this kind of architecture?

The _uninst* directories contain uninstallation information. In general, the new installation directories are in more of an 'Oracle standard' format and people who have used Oracle in the past may find it easier to navigate. Those of us who were (finally?) used to the System 9 directory structure may take a bit of time to adjust (and find everything!) but I expect people will like the consistency.
